Project MARIA is an initiative created by MAR Studio in 2021, dedicated to cultivate the growth of female artists in Brazil. Supporting both mentees and mentors to develop their skills and providing tools to help them transform the art industry in Brazil, the projects has helped directly more than 40 different artists.

We started a Mentorship Program, where both mentor and mentee are financially compensated, emphasizing our commitment to provide artists with the financial support they need to dedicate themselves to the project with peace of mind, through the process of contracts and receiving payments.

As a result, they develop a brand new portfolio piece aligned with the mentee's goals. After the mentorships, we add them to a Discord server where we continue offering career guidance, feedbacks, workshops, and talks.

In 2025 we organized the first edition of 3 Marias, an art event held in São Paulo where art students got to learn from three experienced female Brazilian artists over many lectures and portfolio reviews, more events will follow in the coming years.
